Job Description

Our prestigious Company Commercial team are looking for a Legal Administrator Apprentice to join their large team in Exeter.  The role of Legal Administrator Apprentice provides essential clerical and administrative support to the wider team, whilst studying for the Legal Administration qualification.  This is a full time position for 18 months.

 The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Audio typing - using the firms digital dictation system
  • Filing correspondence and documents using the firms document management system
  • Filing correspondence and documents
  • Preparing files for closure and archiving
  • Diary management and meeting/travel organisation
  • Call handling
  • Assisting with matter openings
  • Billing administration
  • Document production, copying and scanning in conjunction with our reprographics team
  • Bundling and indexing legal documents
  • Process incoming / outgoing post/DX as and when required
  • Variety of other administrative duties as required

About you

In order to be considered for this role you will have excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to use your own initiative in a fast paced environment. You will be interested in pursuing further education whilst learning a variety of skills essential to a career in Legal Administration. Basic IT skills and educated to at least GCSE level is preferred.

Once you have completed the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to apply for Legal Support Assistant or Paralegal positions when available.
