Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and conscientious Apprentice who is interested in working in our Transformation and Innovation Team and wishes to pursue a career in project management. The successful applicant will provide a vital support to our Programme Managers who run Transformation programmes and will have the opportunity to learn about different aspects of  project management, IT and business changes.

CS&I Transformation and Innovation Team

The Customer Savings & Insurance (CS&I) business have entered into a new strategic partnership with a third party provider, transforming the business processes with customers at heart, and modernising while radically simplifying the IT structure supporting the business.

With the majority of the customer service operation, IT and business analysis resources being managed by the third party, the Team are responsible for managing delivery of the business transformation projects.

As a Project Support Officer Apprentice, you will provide a vital administrative support to the project and programme teams. You will be expected to use a variety of software packages such as Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel and Word and other tools to produce and maintain project reports, financials and resource schedules.

Your duties will include:

  • Organising and scheduling of project meetings

  • Arranging facilities and locations for project meetings

  • Creating project packs and inputs for project meetings

  • Taking meeting minutes and tracking progress of actions

  • Maintaining project trackers, resource schedules and financial trackers

  • Assisting with creation of management information packs

  • Managing customer queries (using shared mailboxes)

  • Providing ad hoc administrative support as required

Future Prospects

This is a fixed term contract for 15 months upon which the business may decide to retain, subject to the Apprentice performance, headcount and available funding. If recruited into a permanent role, the individual will follow the career progression applicable to the specific role/department.

Training Provided

As a Business Administration Apprentice with BPP, you will undertake the Business Administrator Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship.

The Apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures, and face to face inductions and masterclasses.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work in a diverse team

Ability to build and develop relationships

Ability to organise and prioritise workload

Ability to work to deadlines

Basic understanding of MS Office (Word, Outlook, etc)

Strong understanding of MS Excel and Powerpoint

Good organisation skills
