Intermediate Apprenticeship Human Resources

Job Description

Nestlé Academy has built its reputation as a continual innovator over a history of more than a century and a half. So for an ambitious HR Apprentice, it really is the best of both worlds. A safe, secure business with which to build a successful career but, also, the kind of employer that encourages you to try new ways of doing things.

That’s why we’re now looking for people who love exploring ideas. Does that sound like you? For example, have you been wondering whether to go to university or start a career instead? That bold, impressive ability to look critically at your choices is just what we want to see from the next generation of Nestlé innovators.

What can you expect?

HR is all about helping to source, develop and motivate the very best people for the Nestlé business. So you’ll become an expert on all things ‘people’. You’ll learn what drives a typical Nestlé employee and what we, as a company, can do to attract them to work here and then get the very best out of them. Not to mention how we can reward their amazing work with benefits, training and development, a great working environment and more.

Join us and you’ll:

  • Blend studies with practical experience over a three-year programme

  • Experience HR Operations, Centre of Expertise and HR Partner roles over the first two years

  • Use your final year to specialise in a specific area, based on your goals and strengths and our business needs

  • Be given real responsibility from day one with change implementation and business portfolio projects to work on

  • Have direct contact with senior leaders within our business, including support from a dedicated Academy champion

Who are we looking for?

If you want to really have an impact on the working world, this is the programme for you. We’re looking for ambitious people, full of great ideas on how to make work more rewarding, so that our employees are always at their best. It’ll take commitment, a commercial mind-set, and a heck of a lot of hard work. In short, it’ll take people who want to build a lasting career full of exciting challenges.

There’s never been a better opportunity to develop a career in HR. You will, however, need at least five 9 to 4 (or A* to C) grades at GCSE or equivalent level – or have had them predicted. Applicants who hold HR degrees are, unfortunately, ineligible to apply.
