Advanced Apprenticeship Manufacturing

Job Description

Deadline: Ongoing

Salary: £7.22 per hour

Locations: Worksop

You will spend time in all areas of our pre-assembly facility such as the batching plant, reinforcement section and bespoke carousel whilst gaining hands-on experience.

As a Laing O’Rourke apprentice you will work through a structured programme that will take between two and four years depending on your apprenticeship choice. The programme will combine practical onsite experience, academic learning at college and a series of bespoke personal development modules.

As part of the Apprenticeship+ programme, you will be expected to achieve an NVQ 2 or 3, plus a technical certificate in your chosen discipline. You will attend college on either a block or day release format, depending on the college you are assigned to.

Your apprenticeship journey will be supported by experienced tradespeople and construction professionals, with a dedicated mentor and apprentice officer that will work closely with you, providing regular feedback on your progress towards completing your apprenticeship.

Whilst studying a Level 2 Performing Manufacturing Operations apprenticeship, you will spend time in all areas of our pre-assembly facility such as the batching plant, reinforcement section and bespoke carousel whilst gaining hands-on experience.  This will provide you with a basic level of experience in all areas of operations before then being able to specialise in a specific area of the factory.

We are looking for people with a genuine interest in construction. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and ambitious, with the potential to progress to a supervisory / management role over a five-to-ten-year period.

Applicants should be on target to achieve or have achieved at least 3 GCSE’s at C or above, preferably Maths, English and Science.
