Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships have changed. IBM has changed. It’s not all about bits & bytes, cloud and cognitive. Did you know you can now achieve a management accountant CIMA qualification as an IBM Apprentice? Or become a HR Consultant? Or even become a Graduate with a degree qualification? All through the Apprenticeship route. Apprenticeships at IBM are all about picking up skills for the workplace and embarking on a long and successful career. We have your professional development in mind from the day you join us as a permanent employee. You will get lots of exposure and an experience you simply can’t get anywhere else. In addition to the day job there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in social activities and volunteering with other Apprentices, Students and Graduates.

Degree Apprenticeship
Deadline: 29/06/2018 Salary: Starting at £18,000 Location: Nationwide   Degree apprenticeships allow you to work and achieve a Bachelors Honours degree. You will be doing a real role at IBM and using what you learn in the workplace as part of your degree. Our degree apprentices work in a variety of roles including cyber security & technical specialists, project managers, prototype developers, service managers, IT architects, business analysts & application support. Degree apprentices develop a broad range of technical and business skills, including: information systems, systems development, data, cyber security, business organisations, project management and computer & network infrastructure. You will also take modules to develop your skills in a technical specialism. There's an opportunity to experience university life and meet apprentices from other organisations during days at university and interactive learning sessions.

You will also get Chartered manager status from the Chartered Manager Institute. You will be doing a real role at IBM and using what you learn in the workplace as part of your degree. Our degree apprentices work in a variety of roles including project management, sales, business analysis and operations management. Degree apprentices develop a broad range of management skills including: operational strategy, project management, finance, sales & marketing, digital business & new technologies, stakeholder, customer & supplier management, communication, leadership and personal effectiveness. There's an opportunity to experience university life and meet apprentices from other organisations during days at university. On our Pearson College rotational degree apprenticeship, some of our apprentices have the opportunity to experience a work-placement at a different organisation.

Deadline: 29/06/2018 Salary: Starting at £18,000 Location: Nationwide   Our Professional Accountants don’t just manage the books for IBM! These days, we need our accounts to be commercial analysts! You’ll be working with large and challenging financial and commercial elements of complex contracts. It will be your responsibility to provide expertise financial and commercial advice to Delivery Partners, ensuring successful outcomes for both the client and IBM. Traditional accounting activities are still carried out, including invoice preparations and the production of financial accounts and plans. However, the best thing, you’ll have the opportunity to work with some of the globes biggest business accounts! All of this, and the chance to complete professional certification in CIMA as well!
